We have been kindly offered the use of the visitors center at Vermont Yankee by our Walpole representative. Directions are below. Kari Dolan, Manager of the Vermont Clean Water Initiative Program, will be joining us to provide an update on her work. Please feel free to extend an invitation to your town’s conservation commissions as well.

Turn right onto Fairground Rd and go past the Brattleboro Union High School and town garage to stop sign. Turn left at stop sign and proceed to next stop. Turn right onto Cotton Mill Hill. Take this to the stop sign and turn right onto Route 142 South. Stay on Route 142 South for approximately 6 miles. You will see Vermont Yankee as you come into town. As soon as you cross a set of RR tracks, turn left onto Governor Hunt Road. Stay on Governor Hunt Road past the town offices on your right then the Vernon elementary school on your right. Shortly after you pass the school, the Governor Hunt House will be on your left as is the entrance to the Plant. Turn left toward the plant entrance and then take your first left into the Governor Hunt House parking lot. Do not drive through the gate at the entrance.
